This song was written at a time in my life when I felt like everything I had worked for was for nothing. I just wasn't happy and was looking back on all the hard times I had been through growing up and was feeling really down on myself. Memories of the family & friends I'd lost along the way was weighing heavy on my mind. I just felt alone and lost, almost like I was at a crossroads in my life trying to determine which direction I should go in next.
